Origin Story

The Aegean basin around Manisa dries more seedless sultana than anywhere else on earth; the vines sit on terraces that have carried the same grape for centuries. Besni, from the southeast, is the darker, thicker-skinned cousin — sun-dried without dipping, chewier, with a molasses depth the sultana does not have. The Iranian plateau harvests to the same late-summer clock, which makes the two origins directly comparable grade for grade.
